Business Development Representative

The role

The Business Development Representative will support the Head of Business Development in designing the company's sales and marketing strategy. You will collaborate in the creation and delivery of proposals to potential customers, follow-up in the sales process and forecast sales revenue. This is a great opportunity to be part of building an early-stage business. You will play a key role in the development of the Sunswap client portfolio.

You will:

  • Generate customer leads through multi-channel prospecting including attending trade shows/events, LinkedIn / Sales Navigator, CRM, warm calling and inbound leads.

  • Collaborate with our marketing agency to generate inbound leads and develop sales materials.

  • Present our products and services to prospective customers.

  • Generate and present detailed customer proposals to secure trial agreements and advance orders.

  • Maintain a healthy customer pipeline, take ownership of your target sectors and regularly report progress to the wider business.

  • Support the Head of Business Development and CEO in negotiating multi-million pound supply agreements.

  • Own and maintain the sales tool kit (sales support materials, presentations, marketing assets, competitor analysis, glossary, industry news etc.).

  • Keep abreast of the competition and sector developments through regular market and competitor analysis.

  • Collaborate with your colleagues and embody an all for one, one for all mentality.

You are:

  • Ambitious, ethical, savvy, competitive and creative.

  • A proven salesperson with a demonstrable track record of achieving targets.

  • Strategic in your approach to prospecting.

  • A confident and effective communicator who can build enduring relationships at all levels in an organisation.

  • As comfortable creating your own sales presentation slide deck as you are presenting it to senior management at internationally recognised brands.

  • A creative problem solver – you find enjoyment in finding solutions to complex challenges.

  • Comfortable working autonomously – juggling multiple projects and priorities at once.

You have:

  • A successful track record in sales and negotiation.

  • A passion for the environment and being a force for good.

  • An interest in technology and how things work.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working experience with sales techniques.

  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage your time.
