The Quality Engineer will work with our engineering team and partners to ensure the production units of the Sunswap TRU meet the required quality standards. This role will be directly responsible for the functionality and quality of the products that are delivered into our customers hands. This is a great opportunity to be part of building an early-stage business. You will play a key role in the development of the Sunswap product range.
Lead the development and creation of product quality standards, processes and documentation.
Take ownership of the development and refinement of the company's quality management processes and ensure that all processes and products adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
Manage quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, resolving them to ensure there is no impact to the customer.
Conduct inspection of inbound components for design verification builds.
Work with engineering (Design & Manufacturing Engineers) to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective.
Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP)
Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing quality systems, manufacturing / technology capabilities and Health & Safety risks
Assist in new product launches and ensure supplier parts meets specifications and standards
Actively promote the use of continuous improvement techniques such as lean, six-sigma, Poka-Yoke , measurement system analysis and PFMEA
Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvements within the supply chain.

A degree in mechanical, automotive, aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience in a production environment.
Demonstrable experience of creating quality systems, processes and audit documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Previous experience in Quality Management using APQP / PPAP Methodologies in a related industry.
The ability to lead the implementation of quality management systems (ISO-9001).
Competent in reading engineering drawings or CAD Models as well as interpreting component specifications.
Strong practical experience in low and medium volume production processes.
