Sunswap Unveils First Production Unit at Cold Chain Hub 2024

Sunswap, a leader in sustainable transportation solutions, will debut its zero-emission transport refrigeration unit, Endurance, at the Cold Chain Hub 2024, part of the TCS&D show in Birmingham 9-10^th October. This debut marks the culmination of four years of intensive research and development, resulting in a fully-electric solution poised to transform the cold chain industry.

The Endurance unit on display to all visitors at the show represents a significant milestone for Sunswap, as it transitions from 30 successful trials to full-scale production and units on the road. Delivered shortly to DFDS, one of Europe's leading shipping and logistics companies, this production model is expected to be operational on roads within weeks.

Endurance combines advanced battery technology and trailer-top solar power that can provide power to extend the range of the electric fridge and reduce grid charging. These innovations enable significant reductions in operating costs and environmental impact without compromising on performance or reliability.

Sunswap is also the first ever Headline Sponsor of the TCS&D Awards. Now in their 11th year, the awards celebrate innovation and excellence in the cold supply chain across a number of categories.
