We continue our series of customer trial infographics with the financial and emission savings from Endurance's test-run with Samworth Brothers, providing another case study to help prospective customers decarbonise their supply chains.

  • For every 10 units replaced, the lifetime reduction of tailpipe (scope 1) CO2 emission will be 900 tonnes – almost 1 kiloton of carbon dioxide.
  • The medium battery size meant that this configuration of the Endurance TRU weighed just 860kg including the solar array, which is significantly lighter than equivalent diesel TRUs with their smaller fuel tank of diesel. Endurance's modularity therefore saves weight and subsequent fuel or electricity costs from the tractor unit.
  • Solar provided was a particularly high proportion of energy used. This a good barometer of the system's overall capability, particularly as the trial ran within two weeks of the spring equinox (average sun brightness).

Following a successful trial, Samworth Brothers committed to adopt a quarter of their 2024 fleet upgrade with Sunswap Endurance.
